Yvonne Mahar, a young lady with lots of talent, shows her skills in this her first CD which was recorded live at "Torramh An Finnrgan Celtic Music Fest" in Summit Lake, New York.
Before reviewing this CD I had the pleasure of seeing Yvonne perform at a few special occasions in which she donated her time and talent in support of community projects. She is comfortable with other performers and often performs with local notables, such as John Cromie, Bill Engelhardt and Frank Jaklitsch.
As a native of Limerick, Ireland, Yvonne comes from a musical family. With her move to the Capital District in 1991, she began her professional music career in conjunction with being a teacher and graphic artist. In "Yvonne Mahar Live," her versatility and talent are evident. Seeing her live and hearing her recording confirm that she is a lover of music and, as such, contributes her talent to the art of entertaining in a very positive way.
