"...her Irish songs show a sweetness and purity of tone..." (The New York Times)
Christened "The Irish Nightingale", Patricia Brady's Irish Heritage is dear to her heart. Her father hailed from County Clare and mother from County Laos. She grew up in a household full of Irish culture and music. Patricia states, "My entire life was spent listening to and performing Irish songs and jigs. My earliest memories are of my ears being attuned to the soft lilt of the Irish speech."
Patricia went on to formal training and became an accomplished classically trained soprano performing all over the world including Mexico, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Germany and of course, Ireland. She also teaches master classes in the US and abroad. About six years ago, she created PBD Associates, Inc. The non-profit organization sponsors promising musicians from all over the globe who need exposure by presenting them in recitials. PBD also funds foster care individuals and programs. Says Patricia: "We all need support in our careers, I've been very fortunate in mine and so I want to share."
Irish Jubilee is a labor of love for Patricia. She states, " A great was bequeathed to me and it has been my joy throughout my career to perform the beautiful songs of my ancestors." The album is full of standards including Kerry Dancers, Down by the Sally Gardens, It Was On a Fine Summer Morning and, of course, a beautiful version of Danny Boy.
Patrica has received the honor of being one of the Top 100 Irish Americans in the year 2000 and a frequent guest on national and international television including Good Day New York and ABC Good Morning. Shae has appeared with some of Europe's finest conductors and recently celebrated her 20th year of performing in Romania. Her annual self-produced show, "Ireland on Parade" with singers, musicians and dancers, moves from city to city each year and she maintains an active concert and recording career.
