Maire McVicker was born and raised in Ireland. As a teenager she and her family immigrated to the USA. However, her roots and love for the traditions of Ireland did not fade. Maire and her parents have been leaders and supporters for "Project Children" over the years. As such much of her music has helped this organization in many ways.

Winter, Fire & Snow is the latest CD release for Maire. It is a Celtic Christmas Album that I have found myself listening to year round. Her love for spiritual songs with a message and vocal control is wonderful. I have heard her perform in person and she is a versatile performer who is comfortable with many styles performing with any artist. Previous recordings on tape include Dreams of My Land, The Last To Be Free, and Peace of Mind. All of these previous works are outstanding and I never tire listening to them as I travel in my car on business or around town.
