The Healing Light

My
name is Elaine Cooke from Newry Co Armagh, Northern Ireland.
Myself & my daughters are inviting your church congregation to join us in our
wonderful moving service,
which can only be described as a "Celtic Spiritual Experience".
We have been performing Liturgical music to many thousands of pilgrims in places
such as Fatima (Portugal) & Knock (Ireland) for well over 10 yrs.
Our Church service is free of charge, all we ask is the permission to sell the
CD/ promotional materials after the service.
Myself and my daughters Kirsty 21, Nadelle 19, Sarah 17 and good friend Alan Mc
Bride
have traveled both nationally & internationally taking part in liturgical
services & charity
venues and have been privileged to work with people like Jeremy Beadle,
Terry Weight, Sr. Bridge Mc Kenya, Marian Carroll, & Dana (to name but a few).
The CD called (The Healing Light) has part proceeds going to help support a
close
friend of mine Father John Batthula (Birmingham, England) and his two brothers
(who are doctors in India) build an Orphanage.
Ruach means the "breath of the spirit" in Hebrew.
Managed by Ruach Ireland Ltd, Elaine Cooke is an accomplished artist who has
performed on a national and international level. Elaine first became involved in
singing in her junior school choir and moved onto sing all types of music
including a season with the Guinness Jazz group during her 20s.
In 1998 she was introduced to religious music by a close friend Marie Hughes, a
local organist and music teacher. She became part of a local folk group and
performed the gospel rock of Dana and Father Scanlon alongside her daughters
Kirsty, Nadelle and Sarah.
In January 2000 the folk group recorded a number of Dana’s songs to raise funds
to send young people to Lourdes to train as helpers for the sick.
Inspired by Fr. Liam Lawton’s music Elaine established a spiritual friendship
with Fr Tony McMullen and family friend John Coyle and together they performed
sacred music at masses funerals, weddings, benedictions, devotions, healing
services and novenas.
Elaine performs annually at Fatima Shrine, Portugal. She has also performed
alongside Marian Carroll (a friend blessed with the healing gift at Knock) and
the highly regarded Sister Briege McKenna at Knock.
Elaine has worked with TV presenter Jeremy Beadle in his capacity as
spokesperson for the charity Reach.
Alongside Fr McMullan, Elaine has created a service of healing using a blend of
haunting Celtic music, candle light and inspirational reflections – all of which
are captured on her new CD "The Healing Light" recorded in 2004.
Ruach Ireland Ltd was formed to manage Elaine Cooke and promote her latest
recording, The Healing Light.

Many musical artists and groups are active in their communities. Some perform before faithful fans on a regular schedule each week or weekend. They are independent musicians as compared to those music industry big names. We often think of the big name groups because we are exposed to the marketing blitz. I have had the opportunity to hear a number of independent performers with Capital Celtic. Some are just starting out and are perhaps a little rough around the edges and some are so outstanding I wonder why they have not entered into the "Big Time" music industry. Perhaps you have experienced the same? Perhaps you know of a new artist or group that you believe has talent that would be enjoyed by others? If so send me a CD and Bio and we will feature them on The Capital Celtic Network. - EEHealy
