Singer Songwriter
I would like to introduce a "singer-songwriter" who has top class talent. He is Eddie Dillon of Fairhaven, Massachusetts.
As a well known entertainer and song writer Eddie Dillon has performed many years in Irish folk clubs and festivals throughout the Northeast. Dillon plays the guitar, mandolin, banjo and bass. Dillon combines his instrumental talent with a keen wit for an original and entertaining performance. His main interest in music is songwriting and his original songs have been recorded by several Irish artists including Aoife Clancy, Barleycorn, Kieran McDermott and Seamus Kennedy. Aoife Clancy's CD "Soldiers and Dreams" features Dillon's "Love To Do Over."
"He has independently released a CD entitled, "Things You wished You Said," consisting entirely of original music on an acoustic theme. His songs can be romantic, funny, sentimental, toe tapping and wry. Most importantly, each song is well crafted with a strong melody and polished but edgy lyrics."
"Having played many years with the Irish folk group, Shananagans, Dillon has cut his teeth on performances in many venues, opening for such diverse acts as Don McLean and Mary Black. He has performed with many bands and acts including the Clancy Brothers, Tommy Makem, Aoife Clancy and the Aliens."
"Considered by many to be a musicians' musician, his guitar style is unique and he has written many pieces for solo guitar and has written over 300 songs." (Ark)
